Apgar Danmark A/S acquires DYSIS Medical Limited

We are pleased to announce that, effective February 4, 2025, Apgar Danmark A/S has acquired DYSIS Medical Limited and thereby take over the global rights for the production, sales and distribution of the company’s medical equipment for cervical cancer diagnostics.

Since 2011, Apgar Danmark A/S has held the exclusive rights to market and sell DYSIS’ technology and equipment in Denmark. As a result, we have in-depth knowledge of both the underlying technology, the application and daily operation of DYSIS’ equipment, which is currently used by numerous hospitals and gynaecological clinics.

DYSIS Medical was founded in 2002, and nearly a decade later, in 2011, the company launched its unique technology for the first time. Since its market introduction, the technology and products have been continuously developed and improved, and today, DYSIS’ equipment is used in hospitals and clinics across more than 20 countries on multiple continents.

The company has for several years worked strategically to expand DYSIS’ activities in the U.S., but following a shift in their strategic focus, the ownership group has agreed to sell DYSIS Medical Limited to Apgar Danmark A/S and simultaneously discontinue the company’s U.S. operations.

Apgar Danmark A/S’s new DYSIS warehouse is located in Denmark, which means that colposcopes and accessories can be delivered within a few days.

The production of colposcopes will continue unchanged in Sweden.

Apgar Danmark A/S will add a new network of distributors over the coming months, consisting of both new and already existing distributors. Our skilled product specialists will provide thorough training and service to both new and old customers.

We are incredibly proud of this acquisition and look forward to expanding the DYSIS technology to the benefit of even more users and patients.
