Territory Manager
Specific Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed territory sales goals established in the company business plan.
- Prospect for new customers through targeted sales calls.
- Work closely with the Associate Territory Manager to build brand awareness, educate physicians, and generate a strong sales pipeline to ensure monthly sales targets are met or exceeded.
- Attend local and national tradeshows as needed and follow up on inquiries and leads promptly.
- Manage local Key Opinion Leaders in a manner to drive sales through peer-to-peer selling and events.
- Maintain customer call records daily in Salesforce.com and report weekly regarding progress in the sales pipeline.
- Continually provide customer market feedback about messaging, product features, market changes.
- Provide marketing and product training support as needed to assist Associate Territory Manager.
- Ensure all customer complaints are entered into salesforce within 24 hours.
- Work within assigned budget and ensure timely submission of expense reports twice per month.
- Gain strong clinical knowledge in the area of colposcopy and cervical cancer.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Experience/Personal Profile:
- Must have experience selling capital equipment or surgical devices to gynecology physicians and hospitals. Extensive medical device sales experience (8+ years) selling premium products or capital equipment that require education to create clinical value, strong relationship building and gaining contractual commitments.
- Consistent, above-plan track record of medical sales achievement calling on physicians, hospitals, purchasing departments and key local opinion leaders.
- Ability to work closely and collaboratively with other team members to develop and win sales and create “Raving Customer Fans” who are strong advocates for DYSIS.
- Willingness to share information and ideas with team members to improve process, efficiency and effectiveness of sales team.
- Experience working in a start-up environment or launching a game-changing medical product would be highly valued.
- BS or BA Degree preferred.
- Proven successful prospecting and selling skills – especially ability to build strong peer-to-peer relationships with physicians. Training in the Challenger sales model preferred.
- Assertive, persistent, resilient and able to move sales through the sales pipeline and bring closure quickly by thoroughly understanding all decision-makers and influencers.
