JPS Health adopts DYSIS Cervical Imaging for Residency Education

Edinburgh, Scotland – February 13, 2017 – DYSIS Medical, Ltd. announced today that JPS Health Network, a leading innovator in health care in Fort Worth, Texas, purchased the DYSIS Advanced Cervical Imaging System for the Northwest Health Center for Women and Children, which serves as a clinical training site for OB/GYN residents at JPS.

DYSIS is a clinically proven next-generation colposcope used to assess women after an abnormal Pap smear. The DYSIS imaging technology produces an intuitive color-coded map that assists physicians and residents in identifying, documenting and biopsying abnormal areas of the cervix and standardizes the procedure to make it more objective and accurate.

Clinical studies in Europe and the U.S. IMPROVE-COLPO study have demonstrated that when the map is added to a standard exam, detection of high grade disease is substantially increased.  In addition, a Global Patient Experience Survey of over 1,000 women has demonstrated that women strongly prefer DYSIS over traditional colposcopic exams.
