First Veteran’s Administration Facility adds DYSIS Digital Colposcope Service and Education Program

Edinburgh, Scotland – February 08, 2017 – DYSIS Medical, Ltd. announced today that the first Veteran’s Administration gynaecology clinics in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas have purchased DYSIS Advanced Cervical Imaging Systems and are also the first sites to adopt colposcopyskills.com – an online educational service that tests colposcopy skills against expert review of 50+ live case exams.

Colposcopy, which can be subjective and has remained unchanged for decades, is an exam performed after a woman has an abnormal Pap smear.   The DYSIS digital colposcope with DYSISmap can enhance a doctor’s ability to diagnose and manage cervical neoplasia by detecting changes in a woman’s cervix and helping to guide biopsy selection and the best course of treatment to prevent cervical cancer. Clinical studies in Europe and the 9,000 subject IMPROVE-COLPO study have demonstrated that when the map is used with a standard colposcopy exam, detection of high grade disease is substantially increased.
